Eagles to Interview Former Wisconsin DC Jim Leonard
Let the speculation continue on who will be the Eagles new defensive coordinator.
Report: Eagles to interview Seattle's Sean Desai for DC position
Former Eagles defensive coordinator Jonathan Gannon is the new head coach in Arizona with the Cardinals and now the Eagles are looking for a replacement.
So far, the team has been linked to Cardinals DC, Vance Joseph and Seattle assisant head coach Sean Desai.
Add a third name to that list, Wisconsin interim head coach Jim Leonard, per ESPN's Jeremy Fowler.
Leonard has no NFL coaching experience, starting as Wisconsin's defensive backs coach, then was their defensive coordinator and then interim head coach in 2022.
In Richard’s first five seasons as defensive coordinator, the Badgers ranked among the nation's top five in total defense and top 10 in scoring defense four times and he was also the coordinator when Eagles linebacker T.J. Edwards played at Wisconsin.
Leonard, 40, played 10 years in the NFL with five different teams.
