🚨 Bergen County prosecutors charged a gas station employee with three counts of lewdness.

🚔 Investigators said the alleged acts happened beside occupied vehicles while customers got gas.

⚠️ Authorities believe there could be additional victims and are asking witnesses to come forward.

FRANKLIN LAKES — It wasn't just a gas nozzle he was pumping, police say.

A North Jersey gas station employee is accused of repeatedly performing lewd acts just feet away from unsuspecting customers while they sat in their vehicles while getting gas.

Manpreet Singh, 26, of Oakland, was arrested Thursday after investigators said he masturbated near occupied vehicles at a Franklin Lakes gas station on at least three occasions.

The incidents took place at a small Delta gas station on Franklin Avenue, a leafy neighborhood away from highways.

Now investigators believe there may be more victims. Bergen County prosecutors are asking anyone who may have witnessed similar incidents to contact authorities.

Investigation began after report to police

The investigation began May 28, when the Franklin Lakes Police Department contacted the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office Special Victims Unit about reports of lewd behavior at the station.

Investigators said Singh had committed lewd acts on the property while customers remained inside their vehicles during fill-ups.

Detectives said Singh masturbated while standing near occupied vehicles on at least three occasions.

On July 9, investigators arrested Singh in Oakland and charged him with three misdemeanor counts of lewdness.

He was released pending his first appearance in Superior Court in Hackensack. New Jersey 101.5 did not know Friday whether he had an attorney who could speak on his behalf.

Lewdness cases across New Jersey

The case is the latest in a series of recent New Jersey investigations involving alleged lewd behavior in public places.

Earlier this year, police arrested a man accused of committing lewd acts inside retail stores in Atlantic City.

In May, a New York man “masturbated to ejaculation while standing in line" at an Old Navy in Paramus, police said.
