The No. 10 pizza chef in the world is right here in NJ
We in the Garden State know how phenomenal our pizza is; it’s practically a given that we have some of the best in the nation.
That said, we don’t often think about the skilled chefs behind the scenes who help create our perfect slices, so it’s nice when they get some recognition.
Such is the case for Dan Richer.

One of the Garden State’s acclaimed pizza chefs has once again been recognized among the world’s best.
Experts at TheBestPizza just put out their list of the best pizza chefs not only in the nation, but the world. Coming in at No. 10 is Dan Richer, who is behind the famously great pizza at Razza Pizza Artigianale in Jersey City.
The esteemed list was organized by over 300 pizza chefs and a panel of 168 international restaurant professionals, including food critics, journalists and more.
So it’s safe to say they know what they’re talking about.

Describing him as “one of America’s most obsessive and visionary pizzaioli,” Richer has been recognized by TheBestPizza for the last four years.
He’s been working on the craft of making the perfect pizza for decades, earning him six nominations for a James Beard Award.

With his dedication, Razza has been praised by many; it’s the only pizzeria in the United States to earn an illustrious three-star review from The New York Times.
Recently, it was rated one of the best pizza joints in the country
Razza Pizza Artigianale is located at 275 Grove St, Jersey City, NJ.
