(973espn.com) - Eagles coach Doug Pederson has been dealing with a troublesome Achilles' issue for some time and the Eagles coach got it taken care of recently.

The foot surgery was designed to avoid a full tear and have Pederson, an avid golfer, ready to go for the annual American Century Celebrity Championship in Lake Tahoe this July, according to NFL Media.

Pederson was spotted in the lobby of the Arizona Biltmore in Phoenix with a walking boot on his left leg and using a Roll-A-Bout to take the weight off of it by Philly.com's Les Bowen in advance of the annual league meetings which start on Monday.

Pederson is scheduled

to speak on Tuesday at the meetings, along with team owner Jeffery Lurie. Executive vice president of football operations Howie Roseman will meet with reporters on Monday.
