Samples taken at the beaches on Monday and released Tuesday tested at a higher than acceptable level for fecal bacteria. If Tuesday’s samples test high the water will be closed for swimming.
The ban and a curfew change come after Ocean City police responded to nearly 1,000 incidents of underage drinking, vandalism and assaults during Memorial Day weekend.
