The Eagles have added another quarterback to the quarterback room, acquiring Gardner Minshew from the Jaguars for a conditional sixth-round pick.

The compensation for Minshew can become a fifth-round pick if he plays 50% of snaps in three games.

The  Eagles now have three quarterbacks on the roster who have starting experience in the league, meaning another deal could be coming, involving one of their signal callers.

In addition to presumed starter Jalen Hurts, the team signed veteran Joe Flacco in the offseason.

Howie Roseman has long been know to move quarterbacks to teams in need of help.

Adding Minshew doesn't change the role of Flacco, according to Rob Maaddi of the Associated Press, but the possibility of moving Flacco does exist if an attractive offer comes in.

Minshew was splitting first-team quarterback reps with No. 1 overall pick Trevor Lawrence in Jacksonville, before Lawrence was ultimately named the starter.

The third-year QB completed 66.1 percent of his passes and throwing 16 touchdowns and five interceptions in nine games.

Overall in 23 career games he has thrown for 37 touchdowns and 11 interceptions during his two seasons in Jacksonville.

He gives the Eagles another solid backup that's under contract for cheap through the 2022 season.

The Eagles released third-string QB Nick Mullens to make room for Minshew.
