What a week in Philadelphia Sports!  The Phillies made multiple moves before the MLB Trade Deadline while the Eagles Training Camp has more eyes on them than an FBI stake-out.  Every throw and catch is scrutinized, every quote from the players is dissected, the Summer really is flying by plus the South Jersey Beach Patrol Races are coming down the stretch. Tonight in Margate, 97.3 ESPN will be broadcasting Live from the beach for the Margate Memorial Lifeguard Races from 6-8pm. Then on Saturday afternoon, former Eagles Head coach Dick Vermeil will be inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame!!  This is a great time of year in South Jersey!

The Phillies and President of Baseball Operations Dave Dombrowski made three separate trade within a couple hours of the 6pm EST MLB Trade Deadline.  On Thursday Night, we got to see the debut of newly acquired starting pitcher Noah Syndergaard from the Los Angeles Angels. The Phillies beat the Nationals in a rain-shortened game 5-4 but the man they call "Thor" still got the win but didn’t look sharp in his first Phillies' start.  New Centerfielder Brandon Marsh got his first hit in a Phillies uniform since being acquired before the Trade Deadline and Second Baseman Jean Segura returned to the ball club.  We will have plenty to talk about this weekend in The Locker Room with Billy Schweim from the Phillies to the Eagles and more!!

On Saturday’s show, Mike Carlin is back in the studio.  We will discuss the Phillies busy week and the Eagles at Training Camp.  The Sports Book Consigliere Dave Sharapan was in San Diego to witness the new-look Padres' powerful lineup; We will get his reactions from the MLB Trade Deadline.  Then in Hour Two, we have the Beach Patrol Report brought to you by the GroundHogs Moving Company.  This week we will review the results of the Margate Memorial Races and our recap of our Live broadcast from the Beach.

On Sunday’s show, Pete Thompson joins me in the studio.  We will react to all the Phillies post-Trade Deadline and the latest from Eagles Training Camp.  Every Sunday we go “On the Mound with Tommy Greene” which is brought to you by Aaron Bada’s GSF Golf and Performance Center. Tommy will give his thoughts on the Phillies busy week and preview Sunday’s game.  In Hour Two, we will talk Eagles' Football and hear from former Eagles Tight End Ken Dunek.  Ken played for Coach Vermeil and is up in Canton, Ohio for Dick Vermeil’s induction into the Pro Football Hall of Fame!

All that and more this weekend in The Locker Room with Billy Schweim, every Saturday and Sunday from 10am to Noon, on 973 ESPN Radio!
