LONG POND, PA - This morning, NASCAR announced that Kurt Busch had not been cleared to compete in today's M&M's Fan Appreciation 400 at Pocono Raceway after a crash in qualifying.

in a tweet from Busch's Twitter account, Busch said,

"NASCAR has done a great job of putting the drivers' health before competition and I respect the decision they have made. I'm still having concussion-like symptoms from yesterday's impact in qualifying. The tests demonstrate I am still recovering. I will continue to follow the medical team's recommendations and appreciate everyone's support. Thanks to 23XI and their efforts, lets get back on track in Indy"

Ty Gibbs, 19 years old, will make his NASCAR Cup Series debut driving the #45 McDonald's Toyota Camry for Michael Jordan-owned 23XI racing.

Gibbs finished second in yesterday's Explore the Pocono Mountains 225 NASCAR Xfinity series race.
