Ben Simmons: “I know what’s coming” in Philadelphia

It's a game that every Sixers fan has circled on the calender.

Tuesday night, Philadelphia hosts Brooklyn, which means Ben Simmons will be in the building and playing for the Nets against his former team.

And Simmons knows what's coming.

"In Philly?" Simmons jokingly asked the reporter who asked the question. "Come on now, I know what's coming."

Simmons will be fresh off maybe his best game with his new team, scoring 22 points on 11-13 shooting, grabbing eight rebounds and handling out five assists in the Nets win over Memphis.

After not scoring in double figures all season, he has now gotten there in three straight games, but his last two have been his best two in a Brooklyn uniform. He's averaging 18.5 points, 10.5 rebounds, and 6.0 assists over his last two games.

On the season, he is averaging just 6.6 points, 6.7 rebounds and 5.7 assists.

The Nets were in Philly once after the trade, but Simmons didn't play in that game. This will be the first time Simmons will be on the floor in Philly against his former team.

He did face them in a preseason game in Oct. in Brooklyn, playing 19 minutes.

Former Sixers star and TNT analyst Charles Barkley is concerned for Simmons and what might happen on Tuesday.

"Its gonna be bad," Barkley says.  "Philadelphia don't mess around."
