Report: 76ers’ Discuss Tobias Harris with Teams

As the Philadelphia Sixers continue to play without James Harden it appears that they remain open to shuffling the deck to try and improve the roster moving forward.

While Harden is progressing from his tendon strain, the team is still stuck in mediocrity for the time being.

The Athletic’s Shams Charania reported Friday that "Tobias Harris has come up in the 76ers’ conversations with clubs so far." Charania didn't give any inclination there was much interest at this point in the Sixers forward.

76ers officials have begun their usual check-ins with teams across the league ahead of the Dec. 15 date for players who signed contracts in the offseason to be traded, when trade talks begin to intensify. Philadelphia’s Tobias Harris has come up in the 76ers’ conversations with clubs so far, league sources said.

Harris, who has been named in trade rumors for the past few years, is having his worst scoring season since his Orlando days, averaging 14.7 points and 6.2 rebounds so far this season.

The Sixers are currently 7-7 on the season, ninth best in the Eastern Conference, so it hasn't been the kind of starting they were hoping for after adding some depth to the roster this offseason.

While a trade doesn't appear to be imminent, the Sixers seem to at least be kicking the tires to see if there is any interest out there on Harris.
