Eagles fans may have gotten their only look at 'Minshew Mania' on Sunday.

Eagles backup quarterback Gardner Minshew had himself a day on Sunday in the teams win over the Jets, completing 20-of-25 attempts for 242 yards and two touchdowns, adding 11 rushing yards. He became just the fourth Eagles quarterback since 1991 to register a perfect passer rating (158.3) in the first half, joining Nick Foles (11/3/13 at Oakland), Michael Vick (11/15/10 at Washington) and McNabb (9/23/07 vs. Detroit).

He opened the game completing 11-of-11 attempts for 165 passing yards, 2 TDs, 0 INTs and a 158.3 passer rating.

But he very well might be heading back to the bench, so after the game he was taking it all in, signing fans jersey's and even had a special moment with his dad that was caught on video.

"When you're in there, you're the quarterback," Minshew said. "When you're in there, you're in there. I don't think you think of it as the backup or anything else. I was grateful for the opportunity."

His favorite target on the day was tight end Dallas Goedert, who caught all six of his targets for 105 yards and two touchdown.  Goedert when over the 2,000 career yard mark in the game, making him the fourth-fastest tight end in Eagles history to accomplish the feat.

"He's a funny guy, he's a great guy," Goedert said about Minshew. "Everything you'd expect from Gardner he is. He's a character, he's an awesome guy. He has a lot of fun playing football."

What might not be fun is all the talk over the Eagles bye week about who should be the teams quarterback when they return to the field in two weeks against Washington.

Eagles starting quarterback Jalen Hurts was the first player out to congratulate Minshew after each score on Sunday.

Head coach Nick Sirianni immediately tried to squash any talk of a quarterback controversy after the game when asked if Hurts would remain the teams starting quarterback.

"Yea, of course."

I'm sure the fans might disagree. We shall see.
