ESPN polls ranking the top-10 players by position in the NFL continued this week with tight ends and offensive tackle, both areas that the Eagles fared well.

Head coach Nick Sirianni immediately tried to squash any talk of a quarterback controversy after the game when asked if Hurts would remain the teams starting quarterback.

The Eagles have extended the deal of their tight end Dallas Goedert on Friday afternoon.

After looking unprepared with poor game-plans the last few weeks, the Eagles were very efficient on both sides of the ball against the Lions to get to 3-5 this season.

The Eagles rushed for more than 200 yards and four touchdowns. They also sacked Jared Goff six times and scored a defensive touchdown. It led to a dominating 44-6 victory over the winless Detroit Lions.

If Goedert us unable to go, expect to see more from veteran Zach Ertz to be the teams primary pass-catching tight end.

The Philadelphia Eagles played much better than they did last week against the Dallas Cowboys, but the result was still the same a 42-30.

ESPN surveyed more than 50 league executives, coaches, scouts and players to help rank the top 10 players at 11 different positions, including tight end.
