If the Sixers plan on making a deep playoff run, they're going to have to do it with Joel Embiid playing with a torn ligament in his right thumb.

According to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, Embiid's MRI verified that he has suffered a right thumb ligament tear that will require surgery, but he will wait until this playoff run is over.

While the Sixers have played well in the series, most of the talk moving forward will be the status of Embiid, who has been a force for the Sixers, averaging 26 points and 11.8 rebounds through four games against the Raptors this series.
