The Eagle are without tight end Dallas Goedert on Thursday night, meaning Zach Ertz will be the primary tight end target in the passing game.

However moving forward the tandem could be split up for good.

Eagles Coverage: Jalen Hurts can enter elite company vs Tampa

"Several teams around the NFL have been calling the Eagles this past week about trading for one of their tight ends, Zach Ertz or Dallas Goedert," said Jay Glazer on the FOX NFL Pregame show ahead of the Eagles and Buccaneers game.

Goedert is missing Thursday nights game after being placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list. He has 15 catches for 216 yards and two touchdowns this season.

Entering Week 6, Ertz is averaging 6.4 yards per target game on the year and has 14 catches for 160 yards entering Thursday night against Tampa.

More Eagles Coverage: One Name Eagles Could Have an Eye on as Trade Deadline Nears

"I wouldn't be surprised if one of them got traded sometime this week."

ESPN's Jeremy Fowler mentioned Ertz has a name to keep an eye on as the deadline approaches, mentioning Buffalo and Indianapolis as potential landing spots.

Fowler mentions that Ertz and Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni become close, so I guess there is a chance that the team moves Goedert hoping they can get a bigger return for the third-year player than they would for the veteran Ertz.

The NFL trade deadline is Nov 2.
