The Philadelphia 76ers added a very important piece in guard James Harden at the NBA trade deadline on Thursday in hopes of making a run to the NBA Finals.

Harden's arrival will likely mean that Tyrese Maxey's role might see a change.

The newly acquired Sixers guard is set to make his debut on Tuesday night against Boston, but ESPN's Tim Legler did not hold back his concern about how Harden's arrival might affect Maxey's play.

"Nobody in this situation will be affected more than negativity Maxey," Legler said on Friday's edition of The Sports Bash. "I hate to say that because he has emerged so much this season. Now there is just no other way around it, he's just not going to have the ball as much. He is going to have to figure out how to be effective without the ball."

If Maxey is going to be affected, he isn't worried, he did not hold back any admiration for Harden’s play and said he is adjustable and ready to help the team win.

"At the end of the day, I have one goal and that's to win," Maxey said on Friday. "Whatever coach asks me to do.  Stay on the ball, play off the ball. If he asks me to play center, I'll do that."

Will they play together with Harden running the point and Maxey playing off-the-ball?  Will Maxey bring the ball up and let Harden play more without the ball in his hands?  Will Maxey come off the bench and run the second unit and become more of a Lou Williams type of player off-the-bench?

Legler thinks the best option of for Rivers to stagger their minutes, using Maxey as a combo guard.

"You can't escape the fact the ball won't be in his hands nearly as much," Legler said. "Im worried about his development for sure and I'm curious to see what they do with him."

We should get out first look on Tuesday night.
