As a lifelong Capital Region sports fan who has just so happened to be in radio for most of my professional life the chance to “join the Team” pun intended was the kind of offer I’ve been dreaming of. Growing up a Yankees, Knicks and Raiders fan(a punishment I share with my beautiful daughter Ella) I’ve felt the pain and success that comes with diehard fandom. Luckily for me my friends that love the Giants have adopted me so I have a reason to watch football after the Raiders have been eliminated EARLY every season for the last 10 plus years. I’m excited to talk sports and enjoy multiple happy hours with all the sports fans of the Cap Region…even the Red Sox fans.

The Knicks Are Better Than The Nets…At Selling Tickets
Just about every year for the last seven or so years Brooklyn Nets fans will start the "New York In Nets country now" discussion. Even though the New York Knicks haven't had the talent or success of the Nets over that time frame, New York is and always will be Knicks country! If you don't believe me just take a look at ticket sales for the NBA Playoffs.
Derek Jeter’s New York Castle Up For Sale AGAIN
Back in the summer of 2018 Derek Jeter's home in Greenwich Lake New York hit the market for just under $15 million. Here we are three years and a pandemic later and the house is back up for sale at a "reduced price" of only $12,750,000. What a bargain! Honestly, when you really look at the house you can kinda see that the reduced price is, in fact, a bargain you know if you played 19 seasons for the New York Yankees and earned a reported salary of over $266 million, not counting endorsements of course.
Knicks Still Here And Headed To The Playoffs!!!
Last night when the Boston Celtics lost to the Cleveland Cavaliers 102-94 the New York Knicks locked up no worse than the 6th see in the Eastern Conference playoffs. No play in games and no saying "there's always next year" before the regular season even ends. For the first time since 2013 when the #2 seed Knicks beat the Celtics in the first round of the NBA Playoffs before the Indiana Pacers sent them packing in the Conference semi-finals, the Knicks are in the postseason!
A Yankees’ MLB Rival Is Moving To New York
Some of the New York Yankees road trips just got a lot shorter. The "Toronto" Blue Jays who have been playing their home games in its spring training ballpark in Dunedin, Florida will shuffle off to Buffalo. The Blue Jays have been able to play in Canada since the COVID-19 pandemic hit so now they return to their home from last season, Sahlen Field in beautiful downtown Buffalo New York starting June 1st.
Yankees And Mets To Remove Capacity Limits For Vaccinated Fans
Governor Andrew Cuomo, New York Yankees Team President Randy Levine, and Mets Team President Sandy Alderson announced that starting Wednesday, May 19th both the Yankees and Mets will raise the capacity limit from 20% to 100% for vaccinated fans.

The 2021 NFL Draft was a big step back towards "normal" for the NFL as they were live on stage in Cleveland, Ohio with Commissioner Rodger Goodell and even players in attendance. So now we turn our attention from the flash to the substance. How did the New York NFL teams do adding the talent needed to get them to the next level? Director of Scouting for the Draft Network Kyle Crabbs joined Levack and Ball to share his grades for all 32 NFL franchises in this year's Draft.
NYRA Insider Shares Kentucky Derby Picks [LISTEN]
With the Kentucky Derby just days away we reached out to NYRA's Andy Serling. This year Serling will be at Churchill Downs for the Derby. As a matter of fact, he was actually on the train beginning his journey there when we caught up with him. In true Andy Serling fashion, he shared some of his favorite plays for Saturday and took some fun shots at Levack.
Yankees Starting Pitchers Most To Least Likely To Throw A No-Hitter
Early this MLB season it's easy to start to lose hope in the New York Yankees starting rotation being able to throw a complete game no-hitter but don't give up hope just yet. There's a legit Cy Young award candidate and few other pitchers I think could legitimately cost the Beef Jerky Experience $2,000 this season. Their loss could be your gain, so here are the Yankee starters I think give you the best chance to win the 2021 $2,000 Yankees No-Hitter contest from the Beef Jerky Experience.
New Sports Arenas, Museums, Zoos And Movie Theaters About To Expand Capacity
Great news for fans of the Nets, Knicks, Islanders, Rangers, and Albany Empire. In today's coronavirus press briefing, Governor Andrew Cuomo said the current 10% capacity limit set on all indoor sports arenas in New York state will increase to 25% on Wednesday, May 19th. This is great news for teams like the Nets, Knicks, and Islanders who all appear to be headed to postseason play. The Rangers are far from a lock for the postseason but still alive thanks to a four-game sweep over the New Jersey Devils. This also confirms the reports that the Albany Empire would be able to host 25% of the Times Union Center for their home opener now scheduled for Saturday, May 29th.
